This is a split pouch bag. All quill work and deer hair is natural dyed, on natural brain tanned leather.  The cones are the correct size for the mid 1750's,  This type of bag would be worn over a sash or belt for carrying items needed by the owner. The leather is walnut dyed and deer tallow is worked back in to the leather to finish it off.  I do work on commission as well.  If you have any questions about this piece or other quilled items   you can catch me at   Shamakwa@earthlink.net
